What is Direct Primary Care (DPC)?

Direct Primary Care is a membership-based model where you pay a flat monthly fee for direct access to your primary care provider. Your membership includes in-person visits, telemedicine visits, easier follow-up, and direct communication without copays or insurance billing.

Do you accept insurance?

No. Wayfinder DPC does not bill or accept health insurance. This allows us to focus on patient care instead of insurance paperwork and offer more accessible care for a flat monthly fee.

Yes, you should still keep insurance. Your DPC membership covers primary care provided by Wayfinder DPC, but it is not health insurance. We recommend keeping insurance or another health plan for emergencies, hospital stays, surgeries, imaging, specialists, and major medical expenses.

What's not included in my membership?

Your membership covers services provided directly by Wayfinder DPC. Services that require an outside facility, outside provider, or third-party billing are not included, such as:

  • Specialist visits or hospital services
  • Emergency room care
  • Imaging such as X-ray, CT, MRI, or ultrasound
  • Pathology fees for biopsies
  • Vaccines
  • Medications
  • Outside lab fees
What about labs, imaging, and medications?

Labs, imaging, and medications are not included in the membership fee, but we work to help you access transparent and affordable cash-pay options when available. Labs are ordered through Quest, and we aim to keep pricing clear before testing whenever possible.

Do you prescribe controlled medications?

No. Wayfinder DPC does not prescribe controlled substances. We are happy to discuss non-controlled treatment options and help coordinate care with a specialist when needed.

Do you see patients of all ages?

We see patients ages 1 and up. At this time, Wayfinder DPC does not provide care for infants under 1 year old.

As a member, how do I schedule an appointment?

You can call, text, or message us through the secure patient portal. We offer same-day or next-day appointment availability when possible, with at least 4 hours’ notice required for same-day visits.

Can I contact my provider after hours?

For urgent needs, members should call. Routine messages and texts are addressed during business hours or the next business day. Wayfinder DPC is not an emergency service, but we are available to help guide urgent primary care concerns when appropriate.

What should I do in an emergency?

If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, call 911 immediately or go to the nearest emergency room.

Wayfinder DPC provides primary care, but we are not an emergency clinic or hospital. For non-life-threatening but urgent medical needs, members can contact us directly so we can help guide next steps.

What if I need specialist care or hospitalization?

We can help coordinate referrals, share records, and communicate with specialists or hospitals when appropriate. Your DPC membership is designed to work alongside your insurance or health plan for care outside our clinic.

What is the current membership pricing?

Our current introductory pricing for new members is:

  • Adults: $89/month
  • Children ages 1-17: $49/month with an enrolled parent or guardian
  • Family cap: $249/month for up to 2 adults and all dependent children in the household

This introductory pricing is locked in for your first 12 months of membership.

Is there an enrollment fee?

The usual enrollment fee is $75. During the current promotion, the $75 enrollment fee is waived for new members.

Can Wayfinder DPC request my records from my previous PCP?

Yes. Once you enroll, we can request your medical records from your past providers to help us understand your health history and provide safer, more personalized care from the start.

Do you offer employer plans?
