Your Kid Gets Sick Today. Why Should the Appointment Be Next Week?
Wayfinder gives local families direct access to their primary care provider, with same or next-day appointments when available and no copay every time you need to come in.
Primary Care That Actually Works for Parents
Kids rarely get sick when it is convenient. Having a primary care provider you can actually reach changes what happens next.
Reach Your Provider
Fever, rash, cough, sore throat, ear pain, stomach bug, or just not acting right? Members can contact Wayfinder directly instead of starting with a phone tree or scheduling queue.
Get Seen Quickly
Same or next-day appointments are available when possible, helping families avoid waiting several days for routine primary care concerns.
No Copay Every Time
Membership visits and appropriate follow-up are included in your monthly fee instead of generating another office-visit charge every time someone gets sick.
The 7:00 AM Sick-Kid Problem
Your child wakes up with a fever, sore throat, cough, ear pain, rash, vomiting, or something that just doesn't look right.
School starts soon. Work starts soon. And now you have to figure out where to take them, whether anyone has an appointment, and whether the problem even needs an office visit.
With Wayfinder, the first step is much simpler: contact your primary care provider.
- ✓ Same or next-day sick visits when availability allows
- ✓ Secure messaging, phone, text, and telemedicine when appropriate
- ✓ Care from a provider who already knows your family
- ✓ Help deciding when home care is reasonable and when your child needs to be seen
$49 a Month Changes the Question
Instead of asking, “Where can I get my kid seen?” you can ask, “Do we need to come in?”

A Local Practice Built Around Real Life
I'm Tyler Zehr, PA-C, founder of Wayfinder Direct Primary Care here in Coeur d'Alene.
I built Wayfinder around a simple idea: primary care works better when patients can actually reach the person taking care of them.
That becomes especially important when you're a parent. When your child wakes up sick, you shouldn't have to start over with a scheduling department, search for an urgent care, or wonder whether anyone can fit you in.
Wayfinder is intentionally kept small so members can have an ongoing relationship with their provider and easier access when they need care.
Learn More About WayfinderA Few Common Questions
Can I enroll just my child?
No. Children ages 1-17 can enroll when at least one parent or guardian in the household also maintains a Wayfinder membership.
What do I do when my child gets sick?
Contact Wayfinder directly. Depending on the concern, we can determine whether an office visit is appropriate, whether telemedicine may be reasonable, or whether your child needs a higher level of care.
Does membership replace health insurance?
No. Wayfinder is Direct Primary Care, not health insurance. We recommend keeping insurance or another appropriate health plan for emergencies, hospitalization, surgery, specialist care, and major medical expenses.
